One Lucky Writer

So, my poor blog is a bit behind the times, but busy times they have been. Between my work commitments, getting Clown’s Shoes ready for publication in October, and making my little house habitable, I haven’t stopped. (As far as the house goes, I’ve been here a month now, and it’s just starting to transform into the cosy reading/writing den I had envisaged.)

Amongst all this, though, some more great news … I made the shortlist of the PEN International New Voices Award!

It’s a very short shortlist – of just three – which also means I’ll be travelling to Canada for the announcement of the winner! At least, that’s the hope – funding permitting. I’m keeping my fingers firmly crossed as I’ve long dreamed of visiting Canada. Perhaps I’ll get to tell you all about the country soon. Perhaps not. But either way, this year has been an extremely lucky one so far … Two major shortlists, one book, one house, and one very grateful writer.

A big thank you to anyone who might be reading their way through 2015 with me.
